Sampath H P

Sampath started his profession as a Chartered Accountant in 1969 and Joined hands with Mr. V. Srinivasan in 1971 to set up the firm “Vasan & Sampath” in Bangalore.

He is a Commerce Graduate, Law Graduate, Chartered Accountant (1968), Cost and works Accountant (1968), and Company Secretary (1969) and holds the membership of all the three major professional Institutes of India. This helped the firm enlarge the base of services offered to clientele which was by & large restricted to Audits and Taxation.

He has the experience of conducting cost Audits, Cost Sheet Certifications of major industries, Management Audit, acting as Company Secretary to Small and medium sized Private Limited Companies and in taxation. He has played a pivotal role in introducing Corporate Governance best practices in family run big business houses to ensure smooth continuity amongst changing generations.

He is an avid Golfer and permanent member of most of the prestigious clubs like Bangalore Club, Bangalore Golf Club, Karnataka Golf Association and Jayachamaraja Wadeyar Golf Club, Mysore.

His hobby is to collect (and consume !) single Malt whiskies, Mont Blanc Pens and artifacts.

He is equally interested in reading English Classic Literature, and other light readings on Crime and humour, most favoured authors being P.G. Wodehouse, C. Agatha Christie.

Arun Srinivasan

Arun became a partner of Vasan & Sampath in 1996 right after he qualified, and has since focused his energies on growing the firm from a reputed local practice to a recognized and trusted global organisation.

He combines a richly varied background in assurance and consulting across industry segments with farsightedness and an unfailing ability to see the 'Big Picture'. He has an instinctive grasp of business dynamics in any field, and leverages this to his clients' advantage. This has led to a natural focus on business advisory services, be it negotiating a buyout, designing a complex costing system for a services company, or drawing up India entry strategies for overseas businesses. Arun plays a key role in the firm's transnational assurance services and international taxation.

Arun has driven the move to align the firm with best-of-breed quality practices internationally. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of INPACT (https://inpactglobal.org/) and sits on the Global Strategic Committee of the INPACT Group. He serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of some Indian and overseas companies.

Arun is currently devoting considerable efforts to M&A initiatives at Vasan & Sampath, and to working with associates in other geographies to grow the practice's international exposure. He travels extensively in connection with work, and has built up a wide network of personal and professional contacts across four continents.

Arun can be found on the golf course most weekends, and likes to get in a few weekday meetings with clients on the course as well. During earlier, less hectic times, he was the lead guitarist for his college band; he remains passionate about music and tries to find time to strum a few notes every now and then.

Unnikrishnan Menon

Unni, a qualified Chartered Accountant in practice since 1996, is a professional driven by high standards of excellence. His experience includes working with domestic and international companies ranging in size from exciting start-ups, market private companies to public listed corporations. Areas of expertise spans assurance and consulting and in particular growth strategy and transaction advisory. In fact, many clients view him as an extension of their core team as he loves to roll up his sleeves and go beyond what one might expect from their accountant. He works with a wide range of industries including manpower services, Saas, technology, retail, hospitality and services.

He plays a key role in the firm's organization development and people practices initiatives. He enjoys learning from as also mentoring young professionals, encouraging entrepreneurship with a focus on ethical business practices. Apart from being a strong proponent of active networking, Unni also stays connected to India’s startup ecosystem as an angel investor, mentor and resource person.

Outside of work, he dedicates time to youth and education related causes. Since 2000, he has been a Charter Member (and Past President) of Rotary Bangalore Aagneya. He has served Rotary International District 3190, and is recognized for leading various youth focused initiatives like Interact and Rotaract. He is also an Honorary Trustee of Youth for Seva, a pan-India NGO focused on volunteering, which was honored with the Karnataka state’s Kannada Rajyotsava Award 2020.

Unni is fond of experiential travel, be it taking in sights sounds and tastes walking down buzzling streets; or experiencing the oneness with millions at the Kumbh. He aims to add music and culture trails to his travel plans.

Anuradha Vaidyeswar

On qualifying as a CA in 1997 after training with Vasan & Sampath, Anuradha moved on to work with a large multinational bank in the area of Internal audit & risk control for over six years. During this period, she acquired in-depth exposure in the field of risk-oriented internal audit, covering the entire gamut of functions from marketing to operations, customer service, Finance, IT, HR and others.

Anuradha returned to the firm as a partner in 2004, where her practice experience & primary focus is the non-traditional consulting areas of the practice, covering the following areas -

Anuradha applies her sound business judgement and analytical skills to advantage in client engagements, combining this with her creativity and long-range focus. She is an out-of-the-box thinker who can't resist a challenge and does not give up until an optimal solution is found to any problem at hand.

She has travelled extensively in connection with her work and enjoys interacting with professionals from various fields across the globe.

Anuradha has a deep interest in the visual arts. A keen watercolorist during earlier, less busy times and currently an enthusiastic photographer, she experiments with various photography sub-genres especially during travel. She finds that among the different places she's travelled to, the ones that help her connect with herself most are the green jungle getaways!

Anuradha has a great appreciation for the written word. She is a voracious reader who likes to stay well-informed on a variety of subjects including ones as diverse as renaissance art, the origins of language, the natural world, and ancient philosophy. Balancing her time between her profession and her home life (or at least trying to), she considers that her most memorable moments are the giggles shared with her teenaged daughter and pet parenting Satchmo, the German Shepherd who doesn’t believe in obedience.

Hareesh Sharma

Hareesh began his career with Vasan & Sampath in 2012 as a newly qualified professional, armed with a top-50 ranking at Pan-India level in the CA final exams.

He worked within various service areas of the firm such as Audit & Assurance, Risk Consulting, Income tax and Transfer Pricing before finding the niche that excites him the most; Startup consulting and Transaction Advisory Services. He is currently focusing on growing the Transaction Advisory Services vertical with a range of service offerings such as Due Diligence, Valuations, Funding Identification, Startup Advisory and so on. He has worked with clients ranging from early-stage startups to large listed companies across various service requirements.

Hareesh works with various Investment funds (VC funds, Angel funds & HNI) to deliver buy-side services. He has also advised many promising startups and assisted them in raising early-stage investments from varied categories of investors. His client portfolio includes several marquee names whom he has assisted with mandated valuations related to tax and other regulations, facilitating a smooth process and quick turnaround. He is an active participant in the buzzing Bangalore startup and investor community, and keenly follows developments and funding transactions across sectors.

Hareesh hails from Kerala and completed his schooling in Bhavans Vidya Mandir, subsequently graduating in Commerce from Sacred Hearts College, Thevara. Consistently maintaining an excellent academic record, he managed to clear both IPCC & CA finals with All-India Ranks and added a further professional qualification by completing the Company Secretarial course alongside CA. Not surprisingly, now drives learning and development initiatives for budding professionals at Vasan & Sampath.

He is a keen sports fan and enjoys the occasional game of football. His sports achievements also include participation in various national & state-level tournaments in Chess during his school days.

Himanshu Agrawal

Having completed his CA in 2015 after an internship with Vasan & Sampath, Himanshu decided to continue his professional career with the firm. Coming from a family that runs a business enterprise, Himanshu understands the issues faced by growing businesses, and works with them to help streamline and structure finance, accounting and compliance functions

Himanshu handles a portfolio of several corporate clients and specializes in finance processes, indirect taxes with a key focus on GST, process reviews and special assignments. He has helped clients with business setup, end-to-end accounting and compliance solutions including payroll, regulatory reporting, accounting and MIS, ongoing finance support, internal controls and audit.

His experience spans several industry sectors including Aerospace, Logistics, IT&ITes, Healthcare, F&B, Real Estate, Jewellery, Hospitality, Advertising & Marketing.

Himanshu's reputation of integrity, trust and above all, his personal approach in dealing with his clients, has led not only to a distinguished and enviable accounting career but also to considerable amount of referral work. Himanshu is an extrovert who builds lasting friendships, and this has led to him playing an active role in expanding the alumni connect for the firm. He enjoys travel and exploring new places and being a foodie, loves to try authentic local food. A Bollywood fan, he tries to keep up with the latest releases and music. He also tries to make time to play the occasional game of badminton and cricket.

Ronak Golecha

Ronak qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2018 after interning with Vasan and Sampath. Having developed a keen interest in indirect taxes; post qualification, he worked with a Deloitte's Indirect Tax division getting exposure to indirect tax matters for domestic and international clients, including advisory and litigation support under GST, Customs and SEZ laws.

Ronak also works with early-stage businesses with structuring, setup and managing accounting function to assist them be compliant; as also audit and investor ready. Other specific areas of experience include:

Apart from being a diehard ManU fan, he is an enthusiastic football player himself having played at local club level. He also represented his school and college in swimming. He loves reading, with "The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch and series on “Chanakya Neeti” by Radhakrishna Pillai being amongst his favourites.

Sai Kishore

Kishore completed CA in 2019 after internship with Vasan & Sampath. Post qualification and having experienced varied service areas, he developed a passion for Internal audits & Risk advisory. He strives to deliver quality service, as an enabler helping clients navigate challenges associated with governance, risk and compliance.

Kishore works with domestic and international clients, with size ranging from early stage ventures to listed companies. He closely works with clients spanning across industry including Manufacturing, IT & Software, E-commerce, Healthcare, Education, Logistics, F&B, Jewelry, etc.

Kishore is an avid musician and an accomplished percussionist, having given numerous performances across the country and awarded the highest ranked Vidwan degree, for his excellence in playing the Mridangam. He also enjoys travel and exploring offbeat destinations.

Ronak Mehta

Ronak, a 2018 batch qualified Chartered Accountant, is extremely professional and focused on quality deliverables. He has been with V&S since 2020 and is focussed on Audit and Assurance services. Ronak uses his project execution and communication skills for smooth client management even for large assurance engagements.

Ronak enjoys travelling, from offbeat solo trips to family holidays. Apart from being an avid nature lover, and retro music fan; he is the party hopper who ensures the team has a rocking time. Ronak imagines world through his oils on canvas; and has been a national level winner in his school times, he has presented his artwork at national and international competitions. An active networker, he is associated with entrepreneur forums; besides making time to volunteer for social causes.

Akhilesh M J

Akhilesh who started his career with Vasan & Sampath in 2019 post qualification, specializes in Audit and Assurance services. He has handled clients across various sectors including Manufacturing, Real estate, Textile, Retail, Edu tech, IT and ITeS in both IGAAP and INDAS.

With a tremendous eye for detail, he is demonstrates a keen interest to understand and learn from different businesses; and constantly add value to clients, beyond what is normally expected in statutory assurance engagements. Industries he has experience across includes IT&ITES, food processing, manufacturing, D2C, infrastructure, PSU's, banking, real estate, MNC subsidiaries, etc.
