Srinivasan V

In over 40 years as a practicing Chartered Accountant, Mr.Srinivasan has garnered an enviable professional reputation and expertise in every facet of industry. 

He started his career in the city of Kolkata, with the accounting department of Braithwaites India Ltd, a multinational engineering company. Reporting to the Board of Directors, he was in charge of a wide range of reporting and monitoring activities, covering all areas of the operations.

He moved to Bangalore in 1967, and set up his independent practice, subsequently going into partnership to form what is now Vasan & Sampath. He pioneered the shift from the ‘Audit & Tax’ services traditionally expected of a CA firm to new areas such as preparation of project reports, mobilisation of funds, cost analysis and reporting, financial advisory and others.

He has worked with a range of large businesses in sectors such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, mining, hotel and hospitality industries, breweries and distillers and print media, to name a few. He also wields substantial expertise in the area of Trust law and administration, having advised several charitable trusts, educational trusts and non -profit organizations. He has served as a Director on the boards of both public and private companies, and also in an independent advisory capacity to several boards.

He served as President of a charitable rural development trust for over 17 years. Under his guidance, the trust grew to employing over 800 personnel and set up several wings ranging from orphanages, educational activities, industrial training, vocational training, medical services to a herbal medicine centre.

He has mentored several young CAs, many of whom now hold key positions in various large corporate houses, and some their own consulting practices.  His ability to assess & motivate people and build lasting relationships has proved invaluable to the firm.

Mr.Srinivasan has always been a keen sports enthusiast, having captained the cricket team at his Alma Mater, Madras Christian College. He is an accomplished harmonica player, and his skills are much in demand at parties and family gatherings.

Sampath H P

Sampath is a commerce Graduate, Law Graduate, Chartered Accountant (1968), Cost and works Accountant (1968), and Company Secretary (1969) and holds the membership of all the three major professional Institutes of India.

He started his profession as a Chartered Accountant in 1969 and Joined hands with Mr. V. Srinivasan in 1971 when the firm “Vasan & Sampath” heralded its presence in Bangalore.

His advantage of being a member of all the three Institutes helped the firm enlarge the base of services offered to clientele which in those days was by & large restricted to Audits and Taxation.

He has the experience of conducting cost Audits, Cost Sheet Certifications of major industries. Management Audit, acting as Company Secretary to Small and medium sized Private Limited Companies and  taxation. He has also played a pivotal role in  introducing Corporate Governance best practices in family run big business houses to ensure smooth continuity amongst changing generations.

He is an avid Golfer and permanent member of most of the prestigious clubs like Bangalore Club, Bangalore Golf Club, Karnataka Golf Association and Jayachamaraja Wadeyar Golf Club, Mysore.

His hobby is to collect (and consume!) single Malt whiskies, Mont Blanc Pens and artifacts.

He is equally interested in reading English Classic Literature, and other light readings on Crime and humour, most favoured authors being P.G. Wodehouse & C. Agatha Christie.

Arun Srinivasan

Arun became a partner of Vasan & Sampath in 1996, and has since focused his energies on growing the firm from a reputed local practice to a recognized and trusted global organisation.

He combines a richly varied experience in assurance and consulting across industry segments and client profiles with farsightedness and an unfailing ability to see the 'Big Picture'.

He has an instinctive grasp of business dynamics in any field, and leverages this to his clients' advantage. This has led to a natural focus on business advisory services, be it negotiating a buyout, designing a complex costing system for a services company, or drawing up India entry strategies for overseas businesses. Arun plays a key role in the firm's transnational assurance services and international taxation.

His professional experience includes, among others:

He has driven the move to align the firm with best-of-breed quality practices internationally. He currently serves as the chairman of the Board of Directors of INPACT Audit Limited, and sits on the Global Strategic Committee of the INPACT Group. He serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of some Indian and overseas companies.

Arun is currently devoting considerable efforts to working with associates in other geographies to grow the practice's international exposure. He travels extensively (his calendar each year covers at least eight countries), and has built up a wide network of personal and professional contacts across four continents. He is delighted with the opportunity this provides him to to understand & work with different cultures & perspectives.

On a personal note, Arun sets aside time to spend with his family, taking special delight in playing a mini round of golf with his young daughter.

While he can be found on the golf course most weekends, he is an avid music buff and tries to find time to strum a few notes on his guitar. His latest passion is collecting fine single malts, watches & pens, in that order.

Unnikrishnan Menon

Unni, a commerce graduate who qualified as a CA during 1996 is a professional driven by high standards of excellence. His experience includes working with domestic and international companies ranging in size from mid-market privately held companies to publicly listed corporations.

His experience includes financial statement audits and project consulting including strategic planning and transaction advisory. In fact, many clients view him as an extension of their core team as he loves to roll up his sleeves and go beyond what one might expect from their accountant. He specializes in industries, among those are technology, retail, financial services, manufacturing and professional services

He plays a key role in the firm's staff development and mentoring programs, and enjoys working with his staff, encouraging them to achieve success in their careers. He has also been closely involved in the firm's growth strategy and change management.

Academics

He had a varied and diversified schooling across Kuwait, Kerala and then Bangalore, where he completed schooling from Baldwin Boys High School; thereafter doing his Pre-University from Christ College and graduation from SSMRV. Throughout his career he has had an excellent academic record including that of college topper at both PUC (Christ College) and B.com (SSMRV college). He cleared CA Final in the first attempt.

Co-curricular

Academics apart, he has always been involved in co-curricular activities. This includes prize winning performances in Debating, Chess, light dramatics like Mad-ads and Skits, Personality contests, etc both at the inter-school and inter-collegiate level. His flair for people led to him winning student elections and representing his school / college as a student leader including Joint Vice Chairman (Christ College students union) and President (SSMRV Commerce forum). His interest in the community service activities started early and he has held the position as President of both the Interact and Rotaract clubs during his student days. As Rotaractor he was involved with several projects including a pioneering Mock CET, Free Revision classes for PUC students, etc.

Other Interests

Unni is fond of travelling – be it a quiet seaside of Murdeshwar or a bustling metropolis like Hong Kong. He is currently trying to get back into trekking and also learn baking, passions he has been unable to follow due to professional commitments.

This apart, he likes to savor the little things and 'live' the simple moments. He is very involved with his six year old son with whom he spends his spare time. Unni is a Charter Director of Rotary Bangalore South East and currently the President Elect. He dedicates significant part of his spare time to efforts involving personality development of youth and in the areas of education.

Anuradha Vaidyeshwar

On qualifying as a CA in 1997 after training with Vasan & Sampath, Anuradha moved on to work with a large multinational bank in the area of audit & risk control for over six years. During this period, she acquired in-depth and rich exposure in the field of risk-oriented internal audit, covering the entire gamut of functions from marketing to operations, customer service, Finance, IT, HR and others.

Anuradha returned to the firm as a partner in 2004, and has since been involved in various audits and consulting assignments.

She has in-depth exposure to various industries including technology, financial services, manufacturing, hospitality, ITES and others.

Her practice experience & primary focus covers the following areas,

Anuradha applies her perceptive and analytical skills to advantage, and combines this with creativity and long-range focus. She is an out-of-the-box thinker who can't resist a challenge, and does not give up until an optimal solution is found to any problem at hand.

She has travelled extensively in connection with her work, and enjoys interacting with professionals from various fields across the globe.

Anuradha has a deep interest in the visual arts, and enjoys music of all kinds, with classical music & jazz vying for the position of favourite. She finds that among the different places she's travelled to, the ones that help her connect with herself most are the green jungle getaways!

She is a voracious reader, and stays well informed on a vast variety of subjects. Balancing her time between her profession and her home life, she considers that her most memorable moments are the giggles shared with her young daughter.
